What digital slr camera should I buy? I was thinking about the Sony A330 or the Canon Rebel T1i. Personally, go with a Nikon or a Pentax. There are a lot more features in the cameras than with the Canon T1i's. The D5000 is really worth having a look at especially with the 18-105mm lens. The HD video quality is roughly the same as Canon's. With Nikon (And Pentax - look at the K-M), you also have better flash capabilities - meaning their pop up flashes have an infra red system built into them so you can use many flashes off camera. With Canon, you need to buy more accessories which run about $300 not including the flash. Oh, and Nikon has better warranties on their cameras/lenses. 2 Year body, and 5 year lens. Go to an actual camera store and take a look at them and ask the employee's about the cameras instead of on here. Camera store employees can't be biased as to which brand they prefer. Remember that you have to choose a camera that is right for you and feels right in your hands.
