What are the suggested/recommended settings for filming with a canon vixia HF200 HD digital camcorder? I recently purchased the Canon Vixia HF200 digital camcorder. What can i do, as far as changing settings go, to optimize the quality and get the best out of my new camcorder... Also any tips such as low-light filming suggestions and stuff like that would be immensely helpful. I will be importing to a mac computer by the way. Thanks! I just got the HF200 a month ago and owned the HF10 before. It's just like the other guy said. It depends on many factors like lighting condition and type of action and many more. As far as shooting in low light condition with the HF200, unless you're on Cinemode, you'll notice a good amount of noise. But, anyways, for starters, just make sure you're on auto and choose the MXP setting, which is the highest quality avail. (24 Mb/s) Later on, you might want to explore the manual focus option.
